Today we get back into the adventures of Adam Smith. The holidays are over and it's time to get back to work and earn some money. On day 5, we celebrated making it five sessions in by showing off some nice graphs. That session ended with me making some plans to showcase graphs every fifth session I post. Then today happened.
I can't lie, I am disappointed. The little experiment went up in flames by an explosion and some serious poison. As much as I would like to sit here and moan about how I feel cheated, the death was mostly attributed by hubris, distraction and general sensation of rust after the holidays. It came less than 15 minutes in on this session, in a cave filled with roaches. Seems almost fitting, to reach for luxury and end up in a roach-warren. But regardless, it is done and there is no use crying over spilled milk. It was a good run, and now it's over. I guess I'll just have to think of something else to write about for the future. And hopefully, that will be even more interesting.
This death could have been a mere hindrance, rather than an actual end, if I didn't play the game in hard-core mode. But I stand by that decision, even more now. See, if something isn't worth being sad over when it's lost, what is it really worth then?
So, the final count.
Adam Smith ended his life with 81429 gold in the bank. The gold collected from todays adventure is counted as lost, since you can't see any post-game stats in this game. But in all fairness, 81 grand isn't bad for just over 4 hours of work.
On this journey, 4514 monsters bit the dust, 293 "lootables" got looted and 17981 steps were taken. The total GPM (gold per monster) of the adventure landed on 18,0 and the total GPS (Gold per step) 4,53. I sure wish someone payed me 4,50 for each step I took in a day.
So, I thank you for taking part in this little experiment and til next time, I bid you adieu.
P.S YES I KNOW I PROBABLY JINXED MYSELF LAST TIME BY TALKING ALL THE GOOD TALK ABOUT HOW NICE IT WENT AND EVERYTHING!!! AAAAH!
